The Spirit House

The Spirit House is a building with a soul

It was established as a distillery for rums, cognacs and arrack - a place where spirits of distinctive character were born. It was partially destroyed during the war.

After the war, it changed function - it became a fusion plant, acting as a storage facility and part of the technological process.

Over the years it has been neglected. Over time, it has become a shadow of its former glory.
The Spirit House

Transformation into a new era

The renovation of The Spirit House was symbolic of the distillery's 180th anniversary. The building underwent a full transformation.
The process required tremendous effort, determination and the work of dozens of people - the technical department, project teams, subcontractors and our employees.
For two years, a dozen companies and dozens of specialists worked here. We searched for contractors throughout Europe, were inspired by solutions from the Czech Republic, and imported fittings from remote parts of the world - even Australia.

The Spirit House

Authenticity preserved

Despite its very poor state of repair, it has managed to save what is most valuable:
  • historic brickwork,
  • fragments of luxaffin,
  • pre-war construction details,
  • cooker from 1938 - today a unique interior feature.
The combination of original substance and modern design gives the place a unique character.
The Spirit House

Today, The Spirit House is more than just a building.
It’s a symbol.

It becomes a meeting space, a tasting venue, a centre for events but above all a showcase for the modern distillery. It is a story that has become the future.
